System Architect

Objectives:

Development of the system architecture and its decomposition into subsystems (platform, modules, and components) that can be allocated to discipline architects. A system architect must be trained in architecture, as well as requirements for engineering and business management skills.

Activities to be performed as a system architect:

  • Analyze system requirements and special characteristics
  • Ensure high degree of reusability
  • Identify synergies across projects
  • Define system architecture, together with discipline architects (or experts)
  • Decompose system architecture to sub-systems
  • Decompose requirements to the subsystem level.
  • Define system internal interworking requirements on the subsystem level.
  • Participate actively in knowledge transfer

Required skills:

  • Knowledge on DFMEA, ISO26262 certification, and Security & Privacy
  • Knowledge on SW, EE and ME design
  • Knowledge on communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, SDIO, LVDS
  • Knowledge on FOTA concept implementation
  • Knowledge on microcontroller interfaces and architecture.
  • Technical overview and experience on system design and integration
  • Analysis and coordination competences (Analytic thinking)
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Knowledge on product life cycle
  • Presentation and moderation techniques
  • Work experience on customer interaction and Issue management

Good to have:

  • Knowledge on Electric vehicle architecture
  • Knowledge on tools like Rhapsody, Doors, Visio, Vector Canoe
  • Knowledge on module-based design concept
