Job Description - Database Administrator

Experience: 3 to 5 Years (Mandatory)

Location: Pan India

Notice Period: Immediate Joiner

Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end administration of NonStop databases, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of database products.

Plan, monitor, and optimize database performance through regular health checks, reorganization (Reorgs), refresh activities, and performance tuning.

Manage and support NonStop SQL/MP and SQL/MX databases , including query design, analysis, and performance optimization.

Collaborate with application teams to design efficient SQL queries and improve overall application performance.

Provide physical database support , including tuning, capacity planning, and stress testing.

Implement, monitor, and support Oracle GoldenGate replication across the NonStop environment.

Handle incident, change, and problem management activities, including root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution within SLAs.

Coordinate and execute production maintenance windows to ensure minimal business disruption.

Perform application-level database performance tuning and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

Manage and enhance database security , ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies.

Review and resolve database issues such as locking conflicts, latch contention, and rollback requirements .

Maintain and update DBA procedures, documentation, and best practices .

Provide on-call support for critical production systems as required.
